TECHNOLOGY !!

150 Words !! The large boxes in this picture is technology as I knew and worked with many years ago. The discs were the size of filing cabinet draws and it used to cost $20K for small memory increases. As for reliability there was'nt any. We seemed to spend our life restoring the system over nights and weekends after crashes, caused by faulty hardware or dodgy software, which seemed to happen weekly. I look at the servers now and how stable they are and the processing power and storage capacity with great envy. Not quite 150 words but a few thoughts.

This was easier than I thought but a very conservative effort though. I'm very impressed by the creative efforts from so many of the other staff at WMRLC. There are some very talented people.

Who would have thought it - me with a blog. Most exciting. But will I last out the Learning 2.0 program until Dec. I guess only time and the blog will tell.
